Flippin’ Out: Youth keep the skateboards moving

Skaters have to start somewhere, and in Rutland, that somewhere is usually Flip Side Skatepark. This week’s People & Places shows the next generation learning from older skaters during one of the park’s summer camps operated by the Rutland Recreation and Parks Department. In week-long sessions that start mid-summer, participants learn introductory techniques and maneuvers. The park plans to host its annual King of the Ramps competition at the end of August or early September.
