About Us

The Rutland Reader got its start in the fall of 2012 as a fresh voice in the Rutland County area, and the surrounding counties and regions of southern and central Vermont and upstate New York. This is a newspaper with an independent voice and a different take on the issues confronting Rutland and around. To contact the Reader staff, email at editor@rutlandreader.com

  4. travel through Rutland from time to time, mostly weekends and bumped into your paper and really like it. I wonder if you will be having an online version? or a way for folks to access info on area events and happenings, music etc. Thanks

  5. Great paper. Rutland needs it. Good luck with your venture.

  6. I thought you might be interested in investigating a program started by the owner of Sheri’s in Brandon. She called the program Dinners with Love. The program is now in 2 counties. In Rutland County over twenty restaurants participate. Meals are given once a week to hospice patients and their caregiver. It is coordinated through RAVNA and Bayada locally but Sheri is trying to get the program going nationwide. I think it is a wonderful program and so do the patients.

  7. When does the paper come out weekly or daily

  8. Love this concept and appreciate all the work being done to promote Rutland and the people who are trying to make a difference in the community.
