On a warm, clear night in Downtown Rutland, the 58th Halloween Parade route was packed with spectators, and the floats and performances did not disappoint. It opened with the Skellies dancing through the parade route, and closed with fire trucks on an actual call for service speeding down West Street before a confused crowd.

The mystery Jack ‘O Lanterns were revealed as Cindi and Keith Wight. Cindi, the Rutland Parks and Rec director up until September, was honored for her service to the city. And, as anyone who has worked with her knows (and Burlington is sure to find out), if you’re working with her you’re also working with her husband — it’s a package deal.
